Unique course architecture

In the context of the Bologna reform, we have introduced a course model focused on personal as well as academic development.

3 Level - 3 Pillar
We have a unique three-level and three-pillar model which forms foundation for your studies at our university: the Assessment, Bachelor’s and Master's Levels. Each of the three levels is based on the three academic pillars of the HSG model: Contact Studies, Independent Studies and Contextual Studies.

This model recognises the demand in society and in the business world for intellectually versatile graduates able to demonstrate adeptness in their intercultural dealings. The aim is to promote the students' personal development in the full spirit of humanistic education.

Integrative approach
An integrative view of economics, business administration, law, social science and the humanities characterises the HSG’s profile and provides students with a holistic education at the highest academic level. In business administration, our St.Gallen Management Model (SGMM) is intended to enable students to understand the diverse aspects of today’s management challenges in an overall context.
